Matthew Faris co-founded CDP in 2017 to pursue development and repositioning projects in major East Coast markets. With over 20 years of experience, he oversees acquisition, development, and financing activities for CDP while working closely with strategic partners and investors.
Prior to CDP, Matt was a Partner and Managing Director at Greenfield Partners for twelve years, a real estate private equity firm that raised over $5 billion across several investment funds. At Greenfield, he acquired and managed a diverse portfolio exceeding $2.2 billion, including Riverside Center in New York (3,000 residential units) and The Batch Yard in Boston.
Matt graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Finance.
Justin Shaw co-founded CDP in early 2017 and oversees all development and construction activities while managing the firm’s operations, financial reporting, and marketing efforts. His construction background provides CDP with a significant advantage in risk management and project execution.
A graduate of Fordham University with a BA in Economics and Finance, Justin founded JCS Construction Group in 2005. Since inception, he has completed over $200 million of construction on more than 1 million square feet of various product types.
Justin is President of the Greenwich Property Owners Association and an active member of NAIOP and YPO.
Jeff Quinn brings over 30 years of construction and real estate development expertise to CDP. After graduating from Penn State with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, he worked with Whiting Turner Construction building award-winning commercial projects throughout the Northeast.
Jeff has been developing projects on both East and West Coasts since 2007, including in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. His notable projects include the Freedom Tower, Good Morning America Studios in Times Square, and recent residential towers in Brooklyn with 507 and 570 units respectively.
Alex Ching joined CDP in 2021 and leads new investment opportunities and portfolio management. Prior to joining CDP, Alex was Partner and Managing Director at Greenfield Partners for fifteen years, where he acquired and managed 1 million SF of urban office, 2 million SF of suburban office, and 1,750 multifamily units.
Alex holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is a CFA charterholder. His institutional investment background strengthens CDP’s disciplined approach to underwriting and capital markets relationships.
